2023 Spirit Awards

We believe that everything we do, matters. That’s why we created the Spirit Awards, to recognise colleagues from across Spirax Group that go above and beyond to ‘elevate the everyday’ and create outstanding outcomes. Now in their second year, the Awards showcase all the ways our colleagues across the Group make their difference and live our Values to achieve our Purpose.

From more than 300 nominations that were shortlisted to just 18 Finalists, we have now named the Winners of our second Spirit Awards, announced at a gala celebration last night.

We have six category Winners, each representing one of our shared Spirax Group Values of Safety, Collaboration, Customer Focus, Excellence, Respect and Integrity, which are our organizational ‘glue’. We also announced the winner of our People’s Choice vote, as chosen by more than 2000 colleagues who took the opportunity to vote for their favourite finalist.

Meet our 2023 Spirit Award Winners

The collaboration the team showed may have taken place across international borders where different languages are spoken, but it was motivated by the common ground they shared: a commitment to safety.

As a result of their decisive actions, risks have been reduced and most importantly, colleagues say they feel safer, listened to and empowered.

Jason’s passion and ability for understanding customer needs, both technically and from a sales perspective meant he stepped up to manage a complex lead and turned it into a viable high-volume order for a new customer in an important and growing market segment.

A team of former apprentices voluntarily revolutionised the apprenticeship programme by establishing an Apprentice Steering Committee. They focus on bringing more uniformity and support to the apprenticeship programme.

Her passion for the environment and sustainability has made a real difference to the local community. Now, thanks to her dedication and drive, the team has undertaken three biodiversity initiatives and logged 148 colleague volunteering hours in 2022, with 135 hours recorded by the middle of 2023.
More than 2,000 colleagues cast their vote for our People’s Choice Award. The winner was the Technical and Sales Team from Spirax Sarco China, represented by Marble Ma.

Taking six months and around 840 hours to produce, this pharmaceutical industry application map is a first for the Group. It is used for engaging customers as well as training sales engineers and has transformed customer perceptions.
