At our recent Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 15 May, our shareholders voted in favour of completing an important step in our brand refresh, approving the change of our legally registered name, from Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc to Spirax Group plc

From more than 300 nominations that were shortlisted to just 18 Finalists, we have now named the Winners of our second Spirit Awards, announced at a gala celebration last night.

Over the last week, our Spirax Group colleagues have been settling back into our new headquarters after moving in on 11 March. Now we are back home, we wanted to share some of the features of the development.

We are delighted to announce that Céline Barroche will join Spirax Group this summer, as Group General Counsel and Company Secretary to the Board, as well as a member of the GEC.

Today, Nimesh Patel commences his role as Group Chief Executive Officer, following the retirement of Nicholas Anderson. Phil Scott has also taken up the position of Interim Chief Financial Officer.

Today marks the 10th anniversary of the tenure of our Group Chief Executive, Nick Anderson and also his retirement from the Group after 12 years at the Company.

We are pleased to welcome Louise Burdett as Chief Financial Officer, effective July 2024, and Phil Scott, our Director of Group Finance, will become Interim Chief Financial Officer.

The Group has taken another important step on our sustainability journey by having both near- and long-term decarbonisation targets externally approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

Maria Wilson has been appointed to the Group Executive Committee as Group Digital Director. Maria joined Spirax Group in March 2023 to lead and accelerate the delivery of our Digital Strategy.

Constance Baroudel has joined the Spirax Board as a Non-Executive Director. Constance is Sector Chief Executive, Environmental & Analysis and Chief Sustainability Officer at Halma plc.
